It appears the only way to achieve what we want is ONLY available with the Plug In’s. The Plug In’s have the Midi learning feature, not the actual QC. We’ll probably see that feature within the next century.
What can you not turn on/off with midi I’d like to know if you don’t mind… Out of pure interest… The 1010 let’s me do what QC can do basically… Maybe I’m in the dark and will hold my hands up…
Also what devices are tied to only certain switches.I’d like to test that all of this Ive been able to use whatever switch I want to turn on and off things

The thing is yous are saying it doesn’t do things and I’m going I haven’t came across that I’d like to know exactly what your talking about… So I can try and explain it in easy to understand steps 
how to achieve what you need. I know midi can be hard to figure out…
You can do momentary you can choose what switch turns on off whatever effect you want you can do scene stomp and preset mode gig view hybrid mode tap tempo tuner…
Everything QC can do…
And I have read the manual…

Hey DD, you can ONLY turn the devices on/off via midi when they are associated with a switch. So ultimately in stomp mode you can ONLY control 8 devices. I know you can assign multiple devices to 1 switch but then one of those devices is ALWAYS on. You might say “why would you ever need more than 8 devices?”. I frequently use 2 different Delays, 2 different Reverbs and 2 different Choruses. Thats 6 right out the gate (handled easily by the FM9’s “tap/tap & hold” switches, at around the same price-point).
You’re correct, none of the devices are tied specifically to any switch, the rub is…you ONLY have 8! IF Neural would simply add a status bite to each device THEN we’d all have the control we’ve been asking about for the last 3 years.
You also have 8 scenes to add to that also… Now if yous need more than that and neural are not listening or don’t plan to add to that then your left with only 1 solution to your problem…and i guess the issue must not be that bad otherwise you would just get the fractal and be done with neural…i think I struggle with people who could have seen what the QC does midi wise and if wasn’t what they wanted they shouldn’t have purchased it…
I think constructive criticism is important, but not everything someone wants is good for the experience.
The QC has less friction than other devices. I have never played so much guitar, then the last 3 years of owning the qc. No over complicated options, not too much to change other then what matters the tone. And I think 8 scenes and 8 Stomps is enough for one Song. I made a folder containing all the Songs we play and I have the perfect setup for every song. I could not Imagine needing more then 8 scenes and stompes per Song, but everyone is different.
Sometimes I too whish they would open up the midi more, but most of the time I think it’s enough to control and I’m actually happy, that they save me from burring myself in a sh___load of options

It’s all good…to each their own. Like I said I do need more flexibility, you have enough and that’s as it should be. I DO love the QC and use it even though I own the FM9. I just find it frustrating that I, like some others in this forum, have been asking for more midi control for over 3 years and have heard nothing from Neural.

Same with the plugins and when if ever they will release them all especially for those who paid for them almost a year ago based on what read as a revised 2Q 2024 release which itself was late. Communicate is…well I won’t post it.
