No sound headphones/speaker

Hello, having acquired the Quad Cortex today, it is impossible to get any sound, whether on a speaker or headphones.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem, or am I missing something? I followed all the steps in the start-up guide.

It could be multiple variables. Start with the I/O screen, depending on which input you are using ensure you are seeing signal incoming. If using XLR or 3/4 out, ensure your gain is up for volume. Also make sure your volume knob is all the way up as recommended by NDSP etc.

Thanks for you response

see signal in the input and Multi Input, as well as in I/O, but nothing is coming out. I’ve tried with a Kemper Kabinet speaker and with headphones, but nothing works

Even though I turn the gain up to the maximum, set the volume to the maximum, or try different combinations, nothing works.

I would look at your signal chain next, try setting your output on row 1 to multi-out and see if that works. Also when using headphones there is a separate volume for that as well within the I/O pull down menu.

Unfortunately, I have set the output to multi-out, but it still doesn’t work. The same goes for headphones; no matter how I adjust it, it doesn’t make a difference.

Can you send links to images of my setup if I’m correct?

I notice your input 1 noise-gate is enabled, try disabling the gate and or make sure you aren’t cutting too much signal out.

I set it to 0 and disabled it, but it still doesn’t work.

What about your pedal in the chain?

And… Disable (“Bypass”) the blocks you don’t want to be active. Do NOT use “Mute”.

I have tried activating all the pedals and turning the volume up to the maximum, both on the guitar and the volume knob on the Quad Cortex, but nothing works. I have even changed all the cables and reconnected my guitar to my tube amplifier, and it works fine except on the Quad Cortex.

where did you buy it? You should contact them, and Support@NeuralDSP.com
it could be a hardware failure.
Have you tried restoring or resetting?

Are you using “Mute” instead of “Bypass” to switch block in your signal chain off?

According to your fotos seem’s like not.

I have full reset but nothing

Nope, I’m not touching anything. Every time I reset and restart without touching anything, but nothing works.

Have you tried creating a simple preset and testing that? Otherwise, I would reach out to support@neuraldsp.com so they can grab diagnostic logs and try to resolve the issue for you.
Last thing to verify, are you using the OEM power supply?

Yes, I am using the original power supply, and I have created a preset with an amp, but nothing works.

And I send report on my quad cortex

Good, support will get you resolved and make sure you email them as well. Did you purchase new or used?

I bought it new from Sonovente.

I would either reach out to support or return for another unit if possible. It’s rare to see no sound issues at all etc.
