NAMM 2026 comin’ up?

99% sure this is a plug-in announcement.

Not new hardware?

Hear me out: Neural does the typical SOON / SOONER / SOONERER posts for new plug-ins or updates to older plug-ins.

CorOS and NanOS updates are usually announced with a News post detailing exactly what’s coming in the next update, date and time when it will be available, and warnings about backing up the unit before installation. In the case of the CorOS 3.3.0 release last November, there were the nine or ten stylized music videos. The marketing and communication is just different overall for the hardware than with the software.

That said, Nano was announced with the SOON marketing back in September 2024. But so soon after we got V2 captures in the QC and the Nano, I doubt there’s new hardware coming now.

Makes sense. But bottom line is with these guys, we have no idea

The SOON, SOONER announcement things must be some sort of inside joke with these guys at this point. I couldn’t imagine using the exact same marketing stuff for years now for every product haha. It’s truly crazy

I‘m not sure but it looks like a new hardware to me.

it feels too soon for me for a new plugin, especially after a big one like the Mayer one but it coud be if it is not guitar related like the Mantra.

I also don’t see a big update for the QC maybe except all the plugins X now compatible…

I bet a new hardware, QC MKII or 2 or Octo Cortex.

I would tend to agree at this point. New hardware of some kind

Micro Cortex, similar form factor as Tonex One… Only loads captures, and maybe 1 or 2 effects, but meant to integrate into a pedal with external effects (more so than the Nano)… just my guess!

NDSP FRFR FTW, IMO- YMMV, IYKYK tia

Actually, the V2 captures, new models, reverb engine, etc might be exactly why we’re getting new hardware. AI advanced everything exponentially a few years after the QC originally dropped. Those V2 captures, the new models, the reverb engine, even the newer plugins like Mayer are phenomenal quality and a huge leap forward in accuracy - but they’re also a huge leap forward in processing power consumption/requirement. Disregarding the new models, the v2 captures alone require significantly more resources. For the first time, it’s very easy to max out the unit using any of the new models/captures/etc. we’re at a point where new hardware makes sense.

Too similar to the nano… the nano already fills the stripped down purpose. If it’s hardware, my guess would be an expanded XL version or a gen2 unit with more processing power that leverages some of the incredible advances in multi-core processing architecture, esp where DSP is concerned. For the first time since its release, it is not the most powerful unit (stadium has that now)… still the best sounding IMO, but not the most powerful hardware. We’re close to a wall where the hardware is concerned, esp for future innovation.

Rackmount option?

Here’s my hat. I will eat this if NDSP is announcing new hardware.

…Looks like I may have to.

If you end up eating it, I hear Franks Red Hot goes good on anything

Hahaha maybe it’s a pedalboard that actually allows more (limited) control.

@DiffractionCircuit perhaps start with the helicopter, might be easier
