SOON video teaser

Anyone see this video? Seems people think it’s a smaller footprint version of the QC- https://youtu.be/phEuj-AL9rU?si=n4DYrvPzilSNPEYV

I’m guessing Dual Cortex/Cortex Player

24 minutes? really?

Anyone watched it and can give a summary? I can’t be bother with 24mins.

It was a 24min teaser for nothing. Potentially a “Dual Cortex” or something similar, but no real info yet.

EDIT: Nano Cortex:

I think it is dual core version of quad cortex
1/2 power of quad cortex.
Two cups - 2 SHARK+
Another cup - 1 ARM Cortex-A5

I guess the real question is what the difference would be between Dual (half) Cortex, and a Nano (mini) Cortex.
Could a Dual run Quad-based presets? If not, then it’s not compatible and seems like it could hurt the QC market.

What would a Nano need to be compatible with QC content? Quad cores, still? I’d think so.

man, they got me ruminating…

Interesting. Please be compatible with plugins.

does that say NanoTonex?

I guess it would be like Fractal audio system and line6 hx family’s preset compatibility.
helix and Fx3 can run every preset from hx stomp and fm3.
But hx stomp and fm3 users cannot use presets that use more blocks than hx stomp and fm3 can handle

Coping a year ago: you don’t understand, the plugins team != qc team, the qc will get all of these bugs and features we all want soonTM

Coping a couple months ago: once the plugins are on the QC THEN we will finally get all of these bugs and features coming our way! There’s no way that porting the X version will take away people from working on the QC!

Coping now: bro i’m sure that the nano qc will definitely mean that neural will finally be able to bring all the features and bugs of the QC sorted out!!! It definitely won’t take away from people on the QC team that are hard at work… implementing the… features and bug fixes…

I like the QC interface and the existing capabilities and will be using the device for many more years to come. But with the continuous dissapointments from Neural, I am convinced that, when I will be upgrading to the new gen of modellers, it will not be a neural product.

From reading the comments on YouTube, this hasn’t gone down too well…

it never goes down well, no matter what they do or say. The lurker/bashers come out of the woodworks EVERY TIME> very predictable. We don’t even know for sure (pretty sure, tho) what it is yet, but folks are preemptively complaining.

I made it about 10 minutes before quitting. The video sucks.

This little stunt isn’t much different than the S O O N booth at NAMM back in January of this year.

These guys make amazing products. This video was real bad and embarrassing. Like WTF is this crap? No wonder people laugh at this company. Shit like this.

Yeah but I guess there’s a difference between the usual “bashers” and it being almost unanimous backlash.

The other companies don’t seem to have the same issue

I’ve been very Neural positive over the last few years despite the negative backlash at times. I use the QC for over 100 shows a year and also use the plugins, love it all. This was the first time I was off put by them.

The issue isn’t just about humor or suspense—it’s about trust. When a company doesn’t meet expectations, even playful marketing can backfire, as it has here. Humor works best when there’s trust, but past broken promises make it hard to enjoy. Once Neural is more reliable and continuously follows through with releases, their fun approach will likely click better with the community.

Any NDSP fanboys have 22mins to waste on the second sooner video? Then give us a summary please? That would be much appreciated :+1::guitar::fire:
