My friend and I recently got each got a nano cortex to share captures and possibly gig in the future. So far the unit has been rock solid. Today however, we’ve both ran into an issue when capturing that any capture we made today will not allow us to make it public.
Previous captures load fine, and the current captures work great when creating presets. The issue is trying to make the capture public.
I made a killer cap of a peavey valveking mk2 today and I cannot get the menu to make the cap public load. No matter what I do, or how long I wait, this menu never goes to the normal capture menu.
I captured the same amp using my friends nano and using his profile, he was able to upload it and make it public.
This is really frustrating since it’s rare to get free time to capture and that’s the main reason we went with these rigs.
If anyone has had the same issues and knows how to fix them please respond. We’ve already tried factory resetting our units, deleting the app, and deleting the captures and recapturing with no luck in making them public.
I’m having this issue, also and have had no response from Neural support. I can use the capture, but can’t edit the details or publish it. I’ve tried all the items you mentioned to resolve it, as well.
I just sent another email to N DSP support to see if they are fixing this issue. The more people we get talking about it the faster an update will roll out.
Loving the device! I used to be a Quad Cortex user, and the Nano delivers the same excellent tones.
Yesterday I had some spare time and made captures of my EVH 5150 III channels. I also took the opportunity to create captures for TONEX and NAM, and I’ll be making a comparison video for YouTube later. All of them offer great tones, but I really loved the simplicity and capture speed of the Nano Cortex. That’s why I bought the Nano after 8 months without the Quad — ease of use and portability.
After making these captures, I was going to share them with a friend, but realized they didn’t upload automatically to the Neural Cloud. I tried viewing the capture info to find a way to upload them, but I got stuck on the same loading screen. The info screen works fine for other captures, including the ones I made previously on the Quad Cortex. But the new captures from the Nano show nothing — just an endless loading screen. I tried on iPad and iPhone, resetting the unit itself, and even different networks, but nothing seems to work. I’d rather not do a factory reset, since I’ve made many captures (killer sounds, by the way) that took a lot of time and effort. Besides, these are the exact same tones I want for my comparison, and I’d like to share them as they are.
It’s kinda frustrating. Hopefully Neural will fix this soon, because the Nano is a great unit and I really wouldn’t like to return it and get another TONEX instead.
Yep, same thing here. I can’t access any of my recent captures to share them. Frustrating considering this unit is only available to edit via a single bluetooth app and not a direct computer connection yet. Love the Nano but it feels like it’s on the backburner priority list from Neural.
Glad to see there this is a widespread issue. I thought it was just an issue with my phone. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. Not gonna lie, the nano cortex sounds great, but the software definitely has some bugs in it, at least from my experience.
I’ve sent two emails to NDSP customer support with no answers from either. It’s been 6 days since the first one I sent. I’ve reached out to my sweetwater rep and he said he’d look into it. Will update when he gets back to me.
I tried and unable to duplicate using Iphone 14 Pro Max and Ipad 12.9 4 Gen. If support hasn’t responded to your ticket, DM your contact details and I will escalate directly to support.
Did you do it with a new capture? The captures I did before august 27th still allow me to see details and share them. Funny enough I’m using an iPhone 15 pro max and an ipad pro 12.9 4th gen as well and NEITHER of them work haha.
Same here for me. Super inconvenient as we tried to make sounds together with a Manufacturer at Guitar Summit 2025 last weekend. Did anyone find a solution for this or got feedback to Neural? Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it to the Neural booth in time to directly ask them.
I can only say that I was able to properly capture and upload a Neural Capture a couple of weeks ago so it seems to be connected with an App update which can hopefully be fixed without losing the catpures
