Tempted to pick up a plugin dueing the 50% off sale, but a bit nervous about doing so incase us QC buyers who didnt get the free plug-in deal (i bough my QC in Jan this year) end up getting some kind of plug-in bundle as the special xmas gift?
To be clear, im not ranting saying that’s what we deserve for buying in early (i dont even consider myself an early adopter - moat would agree i think) - id juat be gutted if i ended up spending €50 on a plug-in which id moatly use to just to test with the QC, and then realise i couldve got it for free.
i literally came here to see if there was an update on this, and hoping it was exactly what you just said

yeah im afraid of the same thing, but i downloaded a demo of the plugin im eyeballing, waiting to see if there is any update on this before santa turns into a pumpkin

Do not want to come off in any way as pushy or ungrateful but could someone from Neural please update those of us who purchased a QC before August 1st, 2023 when we will be eligible for the free gift that was offered, and also what it is. The suspense is killing me, and I keep feeling like I failed to see a critical email regarding the offer.
Btw, just my personal opinion, but I think that not cluing people in to what the offer was before the Black Friday sale, probably cost Neural some sales from the QC owners who purchased their QC prior to August 1st, 2023. It would have been better to get something in users’ hands prior to the sale so they could purchase additional plugins and know they weren’t going to duplicate the freebie. If I were QC, I would run another 50% sale after they announce what the freebie(s) are. Maybe around Christmas time.

Sounds to me that the gift is bound to the release of plugin compatibility and therefor they won’t / can’t share this information before that.
Personally I don’t think it will be a free plugin, because if that were the case, they could have simply given the free plugin to every QC customer instead of just the new ones. But you never know.

I feel like it’ll be 50% off the first model that’s available for the QC lol. Kinda bummed I just missed the free plugin date by a month or two.

Well, because it isn’t specified if this gift will be exclusively for this customer group only or everyone it could be pretty much anything. And “gift” also can mean anything. From long awaited features to videos or even Christmas cards, anything is possible.
I think it would be mayhem on this forum if the gift was christmas cards lol.

Exactly, it make no sense to give 1 or more plugin after some time unless you just want to make older users angry or something.
I also think (very strongly) that we (older users) won’t have something that newer won’t. So it is just an announce for lowering the bitterness of older users (some don’t care, it’s ok, not me, it’s ok too).
It’s impossible to me that they will say “Hey older users, we give you this gift but newer won’t have it !!!” So after making some older users unhappy they will do it again fo new users ??
So at the end, it’s just the QC will improved as expected with new updates and features they teased (synth block, etc…) from the begining and some they didn’t tease.

However, we’ve got some good news for you – we’ve got a special gift waiting for you when we roll out Plugin Compatibility on the Quad Cortex. Stay tuned!”
This sounds to me like it’s a gift which is exclusive to owners who purchased before Aug 2023. If new owners get the same gift I’m gonna be pissed.

old users can get plugins too, what we old users will likely get is a freebie compatible QC plugin while others won´t…
i agree its annoying to have no date or smth i keep checking the forums every few days because i might miss it as well but oh well that´s the deal with neural, complaining at this point would be going in circles in this forum

So you haven’t missed anything, and you can be certain that when they DO roll out plugin compatibility, it is NOT going to be a subtle announcement that goes unnoticed.
