Currently you can tap a block on The Grid, access its contextual menu, and select Assign Expression Pedal and Assign either Exp 1 or 2 to control a parameter.
Could you add 8 virtual controllers to this list that can be controlled from the rotary encoders. Then in gig view you could assign a virtual controller to one of the rotary encoders. This would make gig view way more powerful and enable the users favourite parameters to be changed extremely quickly. If the virtual controllers also had midi CC numbers it would increase their usability.
Several requests already exist for assigning block parameters to the rotary switches.
While actively playing and creating, I like the Stomp View so that I don’t have to engage my brain to remember what each switch is assigned to.
Most of the time, when actively playing, I tweak only one main parameter per device. If I’m using Stomp View, and want to change a single parameter on a single device I have to:
Close the Stomp View
Select the device
change the parameter
press the device parameter “Done” Button
Switch back to Stomp View
Now I’m out of my creative head and in my “eng…
hi!! i’m sure i’m not the first to this but would it be considered in the future to make the twistknob foot switches assignable like you would and expression pedal. it would be awesome to keep delay time and repeats on dedicated knobs on the unit that i could bend over and manipulate like a memory man or dl4!! then in stomp mode there’s just like little text for what button is also assigned to whatever parameter (drive level, delay time et cetera)
thanks!
I’m surprised I can’t assign almost any parameter to a switch, and surprised there aren’t more toggle options. Morningstar FX midi controllers are fantastic. The same switch can be used a variety of ways to control parameters.(Single tap, double tap, short press, long press etc) Quad cortex would be unstoppable if the same kind of flexibility was possible.
It would be very practical to toggle between 1/8 and dotted 1/8 delays for example. Or adjust the mix or feedback between two settings.
Or …
Assign parameters (bass, gain, atack como, mix reverb… Etc) to the switches with minimum values (switch disabled - enabled) and maximum (switch enabled - disabled).
This can be done with scenes, but two switches are required to set minimum and maximum values.
With this suggestion, only one switch is required.
I know similar feature requests have been made. Now we can turn multiple blocks on and off with one switch in Stomp Mode. The next level is to be able to control parameters of the block as well.
Example
In Stomp mode I have a solo switch. When I tap it a compressor comes on along with a tube screamer and a delay. But I’d also like to modify my eq block. More mids and less lows. I can work around this now by having 2 EQ blocks. Less CPU and grid usage (more efficient ) would be to set a min a m…
