What to hope for in 3.2.?

For me currently the QC is in a state where I am almost happy.
I don´t use Midi, I am just a Bass player and happy with a Comp - B3K - Ampeg - IR chain.

What do you guys hope for in the next Update?

For me it still would be a better compressor and maybe 1 or 2 more drive pedals for Bass.

We didn’t have a development update for december but what i’m waiting the most is the synth block !!

something that visualy change in blocks that let you instantanly know if you have a bass or guitar block related.

I’m currently not using midi but i’m supposed to use it a lot as soon as we are gig ready so impove in that would be great as i understood it’s a weak point of the QC right know.

A possibility to turn of the screen when it’s used as a soundcard.

More effects (in the strymon, meris territory) and amps modeled (cornford, vht, laney etc…) like usual.

Improve in general to have less artifact (as some mention it on high gain amps recently).

I know i hope more things but it’s already a long list

Don’t ever tell yourself that you are “just a bass player” :smiling_face_with_tear:

I play bass in my current band too and use midi a lot as our whole set is automated using reaper. For that Use-Case it works great (changing presets, changing scenes, de/activating stomps, controlling the exp input values).

I would love to be able to reprogram all the footswitches!
Allow assigning a function to the rotary knobs so you can tweak sounds live (adjust feedback, hold reverb, etc)…

but also…in an ideal world all these amazing quality of life features/improvements suggested by the community: QC Feature Requests/mail to support

but oh well…we shall see…

I need this upgrade a lot  To prevent pressing Up&Down switches by mistake in stomp mode, and also having extra 2 switches to modify would be a nice add-on.

I think (especially in stomp mode) Up&down switches must change presets by holding on, not instantly.

urgently, there would be different midi controls for each scene/stomp mode, when the mode changes it keeps the same commands, so when activating an effect in stomp mode, and in scene mode there is some midi programming, the effect also comes in, limiting controllability

Having the Rabea plugin is key to me due to the Synth sounds. It’s really just for fun.

The midi is big for me because I can’t control my SDE-3000 and H90 how I want to. Changing programs is great, but I would like to be able to turn on and off individual effects without it messing up the use of scenes. The Helix has amazing Midi capabilities and it’s the only think I miss in the QC at this point.

I would like to be able to program the buttons to be whatever you want them to be, like Fractal does. Also, startup with gig mode like Fractal has the option to startup in scene or preset mode. This would be big!

I hope for a better looper with scenes, audio playback and a metronome/drums for practice.
Other than that, program the buttons, gig mode in default and a better spring reverb.
Maybe just show the scenes A-D and still be able to use all buttons in stomp mode, so I can control the scenes with a midi controller and still be able to use all stomps from A-G

  1. Free asignation of footswitches.

  2. Get rid of the tap tempo screen.

I really hope that the new update will feature the Petrucci archetype plugin. Simply gorgeous presets, especially with clean and acoustic sound. Of course, you can play with a Mac, but it would be much more interesting to have it embedded in a quad cortex, and you wouldn’t need to run the expression pedals via MIDI.

Meantime when humans Will be on Mars, they Will use mesa Mark in QC passing time in container

I wouldn’t think it would take as long now that they have figured out how to do it. We’ll see

Some acoustic amps (even 1) or pre amp pedals would be good and longer IR files.

Parallax X and Archetype: Nolly X will be the next plugins to be ported to the QC. Have a look here Quad Cortex Development Update #51 & Plugin Development Update - Neural DSP (last paragraph of the “The future of CorOS updates” section): “Soldano SLO-100 X and Fortin Nameless Suite X are coming in CorOS 3.1.0, and the next major update after CorOS 3.1.0 will include Parallax X and Archetype: Nolly X”

At the moment I’m using MIDI to control a Source Audio C4 in one of my effects loops since the QC doesn’t have the synth block yet.

It would be nice to have an update, we haven’t had one since last year! Haha!

Ive always used analog on my pedalboard. But I will say since using the Nano I’m probably going to add a MIDI foot switch. As for the Nano itself, at first I was kind of skeptical but it just keeps getting better. Ive integrated it into my DAW and was happy to discover it has full midi connection to software instruments. Pretty cool !

I’d like just a lower noise floor. Less background hum with high gain amps and OD pedals as boosts. Getting rid of the strangle crackling that swells up as sustained notes fade out.

  • The ability to get out of grid mode back to scene/stomp and vice versa without having to bend down and swipe up. I feel in terms of live use, as it currently stands, the QC is the worst “big name” modeler to use live right now because of this.

  • Bank Up/Down reversed. My mind views it as going down a setlist so I’m confused so often.

  • Input lag. My helix switched presets instantly, this has a slight delay. So when having to change presets on the fly that are like 3-4 spots away- it like freezes for a moment and that sucks when you gotta get from song to song quickly. But again, not the case in the Helix even though this has significantly more DSP.

  • Some other way to utilize changing modes from scene/stomp without it being press 2 switches simultaneously cuz I mess that up so often and wind up somewhere else. Perhaps hold bank up or down? Idk. But I mess that up all the time.

  • More effects. Enough with the plug in stuff, let’s work on the unit.
