Vertical blue lines on Quad Cortex Mini screen during boot!

CorOS Version: 4.1

Describe your issue:
I’ve noticed something strange on my Quad Cortex Mini a couple of times recently.

While the unit is booting up and loading the OS, a few vertical blue lines briefly appear on the screen, similar to what you might see on a damaged display. I think they have appeared in roughly the same place both times.

Once the Quad Cortex Mini finishes booting, however, the screen looks completely normal and I haven’t noticed any issues during normal use.

I can’t say for sure, but I think this may have started after the latest CorOS update.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar, especially after updating?

At the moment it has only happened twice, so I’m trying to work out whether it could just be a software/display initialization issue during boot or something I should be concerned about.

Almost 100% no chance it was due to the update and haven’t seen / heard any reports saying otherwise. Regardless, I would definitely suggest emailing support so they can log the issue and possibly gather some diagnostics as well. Usually, when artifacts (blue lines) appear on the display, they are there permanently and require service so it’s good that yours disappear after booting. Have you tried backing up, factory reset and restore?

Hi thanks for the reply I will try when i have some time to record the starting of the device until it happens again in order to provide something to support i didnt try yet factory reset or restore at the moment as apart from this issue it works and sound perfectly fine, and aparently it is very random.

I have the same but it went on to effecting the whole display and the display was very waged out. It’s now back with neural for warranty fix. It’s taking some time though

I had this on one of my QC’s that died. Needed to get repaired or replaced. I forget which

Well not very good news… The case it’s that I am trying to record it in order to inform the technical support but. It is not happening… So I start recording every time I turn the QC on but it is not happening… I will keep on that because I believe in case I need to send it to repair I will need the proof. Its not even a year old.

Definitely try backup and restore and if the problem continues contact support.

Likely a physical issue, had this with mine pictured below, if @Oscarmurray yours looks anything like this?

@MP_Mod makes a good point. Definitely make a backup and if any issues get in touch with your retailer and/or NDSP, as may need repair if the issue gets worse.

Well today I switched on and this happened… This time it stayed… I already contacted support

Good luck and hope the RMA/repair goes quickly and smoothly which is normally the case for NDSP support. For future issues, you don’t necessarily need video or pictures as sometimes support will ask you to provide diagnostic data logs which they will walk you through to help determine the source especially in intermittent related issues.

Just wanted to share that I’ve just had the same or similar issue with my Mini’s LCD screen. Bought in February 2026, one of the first batches I believe.
Unit has been shipped to Neural HQ, still waiting to know what they will do (exchange or repair).
