Updates | updates | updates - why so long & infrequent

Dudes … These delays between updates and adding of cleaner tone plugins like Morgan Amps X and ToneKing MK II X …is incredibly frustrating. There is such a lack of communication.

Why are the developers (etc) taking so long for us to see these updates come through. Surely this can be manged better. QC is an Incredible product but the management of this is shocking . I am about to rid myself of my unit if we dont hear or see something come through sooner rather than later - This is a case of hope deferred… Irritating at best !!

Can Trump please get involved …maybe we will see some results …!!! Come on man !!!

In my opinion, Neural DSP is just taking over a bit: the many plugins, then the Nano Cortex, the Quad Cortex runs a bit on the side and is not necessarily the main focus. I hope NP doesn’t end up like Positive Grid, which failed because it wanted too much at once and is now floundering along.
But Trump? I can’t believe your statement … Big talk, no idea about guitars - that wouldn’t help at all. And Quad Cortex would only be for the USA to buy in Europe with high tariffs.

I feel your pain, I bought into their promotion a year ago and paid for two and nothing and it could still be years before they finally if ever get to them.

The thing is they’re free updates. It baffles me why anyone would complain. The QC is awesome at present even without further updates.

It baffles me that people still hold this view of „updates are free“. No they are not. The QC was sold with the promise of continuous updates. So we all paid in advance. Or am I the only one who would be mad if we still were stuck on CorOs 1.0.0? I don’t think so.

The QC works for me well, minus some little irritations that I deal with. I wouldn’t sell it. It sounds great as is. I am also a little frustrated with how things are handled and I would love more frequent updates but it does what I need it to do and I will keep using it regardless.

They need to go take lessons from Fractal… never a dull moment. The QC is for my micro guitar rig, so I have plenty of horsepower also having an FM9 Turbo and an Axe FX III MkII Turbo. That’s why I don’t get worked up with Neural’s snail’s pace of updating.

It’s nice to have options!

Complaining game never ending

If anything is missing for you, just buy another unit which does have it all, it’s as simple as that.
And your trump statement is state of the art BS

Some people just live to complain.

I can’t imagine having so much free time and hate for a company whose products I use, to just be constantly on here complaining.

I guess some people have nothing better to do though, but there is a reason I and others don’t really bother coming on here anymore.

I can’t imagine so much time to complain about customers expressing their legitimate concerns about a product they paid for and the company refuses to supply or even give an estimate when or even if. It should be hidden from prospective buyers or something?

The plug-ins are not free and still cannot be used with not even an estimate now.

I would tend to agree. I re-bought the QC a few months ago once PCOM was announced/released. I had no idea it would be this long (and counting) between updates. It’ll be years before all plugins are on the QC at this rate. Oh well. I primarily use my QC for bass in my band and it basically lives in the gig bag between rehearsals/gigs, so it’s not a HUGE deal, but still a little frustrating. As much as I love the plugins on my Mac, I would love the lessened latency of just using them on my QC. Can’t wait until the Asato and bass plugins are available on the QC.

Oh, and I don’t think this is on Trump’s radar lol!

Updates for plugins, apparently, are coming out based on a marketing schedule more than on a “not ready yet” situation…

Cory Wong has a QC and stated a month ago that he has the plugin on it…

That’s not how products improve - Innovation requires effective growth or soon we’ll find ourselves overly invested but lagging behind. Customers are not idiots that run from product to product waisting money. No ! we are part of the team that when listened too help the brand develop ….!!! History show you that digital products can limit their sales and growth when innovation lags ….!! I’m in but we need quicker response and shorter periods between updates and the adding of amps, cabs and effects ….

That’s concerning but it does emphasize the point !!

Yeah - That’s why in South Africa, where we are consistently online searching for the best and most effective products. Companies that provide quick support and better service through their updates and innovation, like Yamaha and Helix, tend to do well. The QC has struggled to gain traction here because they tend to be perceived as available for purchase but lacking in support. QC is an excellent product …

Yup, Cory mentions in that video that some version of the Cory Wong Archetype plugin is already running on his QC. The neural website says “PCOM Coming Soon”. What is “soon”??

It would be disgusting if the plugins are released on some marketing schedule rather than availability.

This whole PCOM debacle isn’t doing any good to the neural platform. I’d say, make some commitments and communicate better. Get someone who Gets Things Done.

Also, PCOM hasn’t been announced for Mesa Boogie, Morgan amps and Tone King. I have a feeling these might never be made available on QC due to licensing and/or royalty issues…

Well I hope not the situation I’m hoping the Morgan gets an X at the end of it… I can’t see why that would be an issue but I guess I dont know.

Could be weird for those brands to have official versions of their amps on hardware (with their branding) for a company that they aren’t a part of. Plugin in a DAW feels more separate. But could just be they’re slowly getting to those.
