Trouble using the Quad Cortex to control HX Stomp via Midi

I’m looking to use my QC to control my bassist’s HX Stomp so that when I change a preset, his preset on the HX Stomp changes accordingly.

I’ve read countless posts and watched a couple YouTube videos where people control OTHER products via midi, but not specifically the HX Stomp.

I go into the “Midi Preset Out” and to my knowledge, put in the correct PC channel and program number, but I just can’t get the HX Stomp to change presets along with my QC.

I’ve hooked up the HX Stomp via midi into an audio interface and it switches just fine via a DAW, so I’m certain I’m just doing something wrong when programing the QC.

Does anyone have any tips on how to do this or has anyone done this before?

Make sure Midi Thru is OFF on the QC.

It’s one of the quirks of the QC. If Midi Thru is on, the QC only passes thru commands. Has to be set to OFF for the QC to send midi commands out.
