Tap tempo screen needs to go away

I know this is a duplicate of an existing issue that many have mentioned.

But it’s not like they first mentioned it yesterday, last week or last month. You’ve had plenty of time of time to rectify this issue, and you haven’t, so here we are.

The current implementation of the tap tempo feature makes it so unwieldy as to make it unusable live. You active tap tempo and a screen pops up forever and won’t go away as you flail at other buttons and even if you knew what scene you wanted next you can’t select it because it’s all locked.

This is so awful. It means you can’t use tap tempo live, and that’s a major feature to have built into the thing and not be able to use.

I would have thought by now you would have addressed it out of sheer embarrassment.

BYPASS Tempo screen when tapping

I would love to BYPASS the BPM screen when I tap my tempo. For me I will tap the button right before I need it but I usually hit an OD pedal too. BUT if the BPM screen is still lingering for a couple seconds that makes this tricky. It seems unnecessary to see the tempo when I tap.

Tap tempo screen time

Everytime tapping in a tempo, the whole screen shows you what bpm it is. Also the time it takes to go back to the previous screen is not adjustable. It’d be nice just to see the bpm in small number in the gig/grid screen. Maybe in the down right corner? Like on a morningstar mc8. Just tapping in a tempo will show you a bpm inside the gig/grid view and maybe a long press to show up the full tap tempo screen for fine tuning the tempo with a knob.

The tap tempo screen is a little too much during a live performance and it stays up too long making it where you can’t see or use your stomps. It would be nice to have the tempo appear as an overlay on the screen while performing so it doesn’t interrupt.

When you tap tempo you get the tempo screen come up. However it’s impossible to then select a scene when it’s active. I’ve missed loads of changes in songs with fast moving changes because I’m stuck in the tempo screen. You should be able to override the tempo screen by pressing a scene button and ideally select the specific scene you press on.
