I would love to BYPASS the BPM screen when I tap my tempo. For me I will tap the button right before I need it but I usually hit an OD pedal too. BUT if the BPM screen is still lingering for a couple seconds that makes this tricky. It seems unnecessary to see the tempo when I tap.
Its really annoying that for make QC works again u have to press any switch to make it exit the BPM wiew after tapped the tempo of a song, put it in a top right corner maybe?
An option for this would be fantastic. The cortex has a small footprint already, and having to hit a switch once to exit the BPM dialogue, and then another to do what you what actually becomes quite difficult in some moments.
There should be an option to bypass/allow this screen after tapping the tempo. It is pretty much useless and annoying on a live gig. Or it could show a small tempo for a couple of seconds only in the top right corner of the screen (not covering any of the scene/stomp buttons).

Have the tempo in the corner, when it’s flashing it means you’re currently tapping in a tempo. Or just reach down and spin the foot switch. Solid means it’s locked in. Neither of which interrupt stomps or scenes.
I literally NEVER want to see the tap tempo screen. It would seem like a massive oversight, except according to this forum, it’s simply being ignored. Very disappointing.
This! We need to get to this fixed asap. The tempo screen is the most annoying thing in a live situation.
Can be catastrophic live: when pressing top-right footswitch to exit the tempo screen too late, it will jump to the next preset instead

It made me sell Quad Cortex once already. Please give us the option to disable the big tempo screen.
Dont tap the top right one. Tap the one to the left of the tap tempo, any of the green stomps should exit tap tempo.
In fact, they do other things in the tempo screen, like turn on the metronome, right next to the actual tap tempo 
Only the 1 stomp directly above the tap tempo (colored white / preset down button) does that. All the stomps that are colored green (A-H) exit the tap tempo, as does the prest up stomp.
Thats how mine works. Your behaves differntly?
2 things that might help when you accidentally turn on the metronome:
Try turning the volume of the metronome all the way down, it may help if you trigger it by accident. Use stomp D dial.
If possible, change the routing setting to an output you are not using.

That one footswitch is the issue though. It is directly above tap tempo and it is easy to press it by accident when tapping tempo.
Turning metronome volume down is only a half measure, as it doesn’t go down to infinity. Changing routing also doesn’t solve it, because I, as many others, intend to use all the outputs.
Of course, right now I have the volume set to -60 and routing to headphones, but I wish for a more stage-friendly solution.
