Sound gone randomly and only way to get it back is unplug power supplyt

Describe your issue:
if the QC is connected and any of my split ways switches as soon as the QC is not selected (or I choose any other amp than QC) the sound is gone and the power button is not responsive anymore, the only way to make it sound again is to unplug/plug back in the power supply

Steps to reproduce your issue:

  1. Step 1
    GTR > 3 Way Split pedal > QC > FRFR.
    everything works until I switch the 3-way pedal to send the signal to any amp and mute the QC.

  2. Step 2
    GTR > QC > Matrix PowerAmp solid state > KHE Amp Switcher> 412 Cab
    everything works until I switch to any amp and mute the QC.

I expected this to happen:
When I switch to any of my amps in the amp switcher / 3ways pedal switch and then switch back to the QC I expected it to sound.

I would definitely recommend emailing support@neuraldsp.com so they can log your issue and help resolve.

Please make sure if using a USB hub that it is powered and please ensure you are using the OEM power supply.

Yes, this unit is more or less two months old, I only have the power adaptor that came in the box.

I imagine your QC outputs are connected to the amp switcher or is it the inputs are controlled via the switcher? I have never used an amp switcher with a modeler before and not sure how it would work. I would provide a diagram and maybe a link to the switcher(s) you are using and its possible someone has the same setup and can possibly provide some advice etc. Support will likely ask you for the same details as well if you email them etc.

The way it is connected

GTR > Amps switcher.

  • QC Input> Amp switcher amp input.
  • QC Out 3 > Solid State Power Amp > Amp switcher Amp out Jack (same as if I was connecting a real Amp)
  • Amp Switcher > 412 Cab

I tried replacing the QC by an Axe Fx 3 and it works no problem, something happens to the QC when it gets muted by the amp switcher/3Way Split Pedal

So you are using OUT3 , are you using TS or TRS cables? Have you tried using the XLR outputs?
Wonder if there is some continuity loss after switching? Interesting issue but I still believe KHE support will be more beneficial etc. Good luck!
