Something Small Is Coming

I thought it could be a nice backup for my QC, but actually the price tag is a bit high for a pure “just in case” solution.

I don’t understand the emphasis on captures for this device. If you’re looking to get the stripped out, cheaper alternative to the QC you most probably don’t own expensive amps or pedals to be capturing; most captures will be coming from the qc and you can just use them on the nano.

Otherwise, once again, there really aren’t that many effects coming with the device. For the price tag it’s going to be a very tough competition with the toneX/kemper alternatives.

Yeah, this is a weird product on Neural’s part. So many other options that offer a lot more flexibility for a similar price. I could have seen this being a product released before the QC, since it’s so limited. I wouldn’t even consider this as a backup to the QC.

QC owners with other nice gear + studio setup: What the hell is this?

Bass players flying for the occasional weekend gig: Sure, this is probbably all I need for what I’m doing.

Teenage guitarist with a NDSP plug-in or two who otherwise cannot afford a QC: STOKED

While you might not have gear to capture yourself, it gives you access to the capture cloud, and everyone else’s shared captures. Far and away the best feature of this box, IMO.

I’m an adult QC owner with other nice gear that flys a lot and am STOKED for this.

Sounds good. Cheekiness aside, come back to the forum and report your experience with it.

the ability to use other’s captures is present, with or without the ability of the device itself to capture

These are the same comments for the toneX at launch.

But guys, there are A LOT of players that have only a multifx as ax8, hx effects and so on…or analog players in doubt on the Digital sys.

These product are perfect for integrate multifx , or build little pedalboards

The world Is various

Yeah but you can’t run two separate outputs with a cab sim off/on which is the main draw for two outputs in a live setup.

Yea I could see people that have an hx stomp would want this simply for the amp capture and amp tone sounds while also freeing up headroom on their current micro rig. You could have something better than a qc when you merge your other gear. For something half the size of a tonex and 1/4 the size for 2 tonex boards this is a pretty big deal for some. I’m sure if you have the QC already it seems pointless but better players than me can make less than I have sound more than I have.

I think the nano is the “gateway drug” to the QC.

Or it’s going to be used like a Tonex is currently. Maybe we’ll see worship boards with two side by side but that’s getting pricey for what it would be.

Just too limited in my opinion to be a great all in one option. But with other pedals around it, sure!

I think I’ll pass too.

I love my QC, but this is a missed opportunity. Big time. Very disappointed.

Yeah I got some more info on it later. You’d have to purchase and run 2 individual units for what I was hoping was possible with just the one.

Pass.

I wonder if this could be fixed later with a firmware update.

Yeah that is the question. Are they going to add to the nano like the do the QC? Or is this basically what it will be…

I love the DC-2W but will they add other modulation options in the future??

That would really be the only way I would consider one

The most ridiculous thing, is why only a couple effects? Everyone is complaining about that. And no drives? Wtf
