I can’t seem to find it in the manual, so it may not exist, but is there a way to send a MIDI message to go UP or DOWN a preset? Basically, if I get a MINI (which is on order), I’d like to replicate the UP/DOWN buttons from the full-sized QC on an external MIDI controller. Is this possible?

AFAIK theres no possibility like this in the QC Mini. Some Midi controllers like the Morningstar Pro series are able to do this. This will depend on your controller though.
No, this doesn’t exist. Not even for the full size QC. It’s the exact same functions for each, so if it doesn’t exist for the QC, then it doesn’t for the mini

Why not select the preset with its midi program change number? It will achieve the same result.
That would work if a laptop was sending midi to the QC. This person needs it on a midi controller, which would need to be programmed separately for each button separately to do that. They just want preset up/down to be able to navigate the presets quickly and easily
I’m using a DJ Tech Tools MIDI Twister as my MIDI controller (in a tabletop setting). Two of the 16 knobs are being used as expression pedals on the QC. I would love to be able to just send a MIDI command to go up/down a preset. The way it is now, I’d have to assign each knob to send to a certain QC preset.
That option isn’t out of the question, it’s just more cumbersome and I’m sure that would actually slow me down. I would need to navigate to a different page of settings on the MIDI Twister. I don’t use many presets on my QC, so I may check out that route, it just isn’t optimal though.
Which controller? Some like the Morningstar ones can increment preset numbers internally.
