Midi CC# for Next and Previous Bank

I would like to be able to simulate every foot switch being pressed over MIDI CC#. From the manual It seems I can turn on the metronome, and control A through H. But Up and Down seem to be missing.

How are you able to turn a metronome on in the QC? There isn’t a metronome built into it…. Do you mean tap tempo?

Not 100% sure, but the way I understand the manual, you cannot do this directly. Apparently there is no CC for “next preset”.
You can select specific presets and maybe you can program something in your midi device to send a PC message that increments from the previous one.

Yes pc messages will need to be incerted to move up/down presets in the left blue part…

Correct. Is there a way to open a formal feature request? This should be able to be built into the quad cortex and then triggered through a new CC command.

Thank you for your reply. Could you explain a bit further what is going on in your image?

There’s quite a few feature requests on improved Midi functions so you would need to check whether they cover your topic.

For the stomp and scene mode you need cc messages… But for presets you need to add pc messages… So on my Fcb1010… I have ten banks I have stomp/scene mode programmed into 2 banks on fcb using just cc messages and then I have 8 banks of presets and I have added pc messages to the cc messages so I can go up through presets incrementally so example is 12345678 next bank 9.10.11.12.13 etc etc

What midi controller are you using

Thank you for your reply (and sorry for the delay on mine). I have a FCB1010 but with stock firmware. My kind of goal was to replicate most of the stomp-like buttons available on the quad cortex and keep it out of the floor. I think I understand your approach, to hardcode 8 presets on CC messages per bank. However then I guess I would have to have kind of a similar approach for choosing a scene for each preset.

Hello I can send you a SysEx file if you need… Have you managed to program it yet…

Thank you, I haven’t played with it in a while and was doing the configuration manually for the time being. I would appreciate a SysEx file with your recommendations. Maybe I’ll better understand through them what are the capabilities and limitations of the QC in its current state.

Well there seems to be a big gripe about midi on the QC…everyone wants it to be more like fractal or helix… I’ll take sound over that so I’m happy with the way it is and if they add more capability then that’s also a good thing…

Thank you! I will take a look into what you sent me. For now I’ll be patient and see whenever or if they decide to expand further the midi CC.
