Bank Up/Down via MIDI on QC Mini

Can the NeuralDSP team please add more MIDI options like banking up and down? On the full QC, there’s just a single button to bank up and down presets. So it has to be possible to allow external MIDI controllers to bank up and down presets incrementally for the QC Mini, especially if we want to run it in a rack and we’re changing songs.

So I don’t have my QC mini yet but its my understanding that it can be done with PC +1/-1 command (per copilot)

A lot of Ampero Control users are waiting for Hotone for an update. It’s pretty much unusable on any iOS/Mac device as of right now. I emailed them a few days ago and Hotone stated they still don’t have an ETA for an update. iOS 26 was released back in September 2025. Right now, I have the M-VAVE Chocolate Plus, which is at least somewhat usable. I’ve got a Morningstar coming in for bigger sets when the QC Mini is docked into rack and it can do PC increment changes. Just seems easier if there was a dedicated MIDI CC for this function.

FYI I managed to get into the app via Android phone. The Ampero Control can’t do PC +1/-1 for banking. Only more advanced controllers like the Morningstar MC4Pro or bigger can do it. It’s a big disappointment. I really like the form factor, but it’s limited in capability.

OK well that’s a disappointment, thanks for the update, so looks like Copilot may have misinterpreted things I asked, so I’ll probably use the ampero control for expression peddle, Cycle Modes, i.e. (Preset → Scene → Stomp)… Page 1 / Page 2 Toggle…. and Gig View Toggle… then I’m going to use my “Mosky Dual” directly onto the QCM’s EXP port for preset Up and down, which Copilot has indicated is doable…
That only leaves scenes that don’t increment/decrement..

Not sure if I’d go with this Yasao chocolate bt device as I prefer everything to be wired on a pb…

Just a quick tag on how I envision using the ampero once my QCM makes it to me…

I would suggest reading the manual instead of an AI that gives wrong answers. I don’t think you can just use the EXP in for preset up/down…..

Ive looked at both qc and qcm 4.0 manuals and the notations are mainly for expression peddles, since I do not have mine yet just need to wait and see, but copilot is animate about it working,

”When a dual switch is detected, the OS exposes assignable functions:”

  • Preset Up

  • Preset Down

  • Tuner

  • Tap Tempo

  • Gig View

  • Looper functions (if applicable)

I don’t think that’s something you can do with the expression pedal. Nowhere in the manual does it say that’s a possible function for a two button footswitch, especially when it isn’t midi

I don’t think a dual footswitch works with the QC expression port. It’s a feature that’s been requested on the forum a couple different times. I’m remembering now that I tried to use one of these footswitches a couple years ago, and it didn’t work as two footswitches (unlike Line 6). Another reason to stop relying on AI to answer specific questions like this
