Quad Mini footswitch question

Apologies if this has been asked but on looking i could not see it. Firstly i am not into complexity. Basically i have 5 sounds onstage which could be 4 if pushed (lead harmony 1db boost would be sacrificed). I have the right buttons on the Regular Quad - how do we go about this on the mini? It claims to be stadium ready, but i’m playing 20 minute change over festivals in Europe with tired and sometimes dangerously disinterested local crew. So wanted to move the Quad (Mini) out of the way and have a foot pedal (NOT MIDI) to change the scenes. is there an attachment i have missed what is everyone else doing is it all midi and faffing around? Or is there something that does this. Also not wifi. Any ideas?

There’s not a shortcut way to do this on the Mini, without hooking up a MIDI controller.

Either you do midi (you’ll be limited by cable length though since you cannot run midi at the same lengths you can for an instrument cable, XLR, etc), or you use the footswitches that are on the QC.

There aren’t any attachments similar to the Helix Rack or Fractal foot controller. I agree that the wireless options for footswitches are unrealistic to use in a setting such as yours (or basically any show).

I would suggest getting a short low profile XLR cable to run from the XLR output of your QC. These can be very handy with not having local crew have to plug directly into the unit. I don’t trust the local random sound person to do it and use these all the time so no one has to mess with the QC itself.

I use a Morningstar MC6, I know it’s a MIDI controller but once set up (and it’s not too difficult especially with the web editor) then you are good to go. Stick it on a small board with a Kenton MIDI line driver and long MIDI leads from Roland and should be good to go.
