Recovering from an old post… I just got this issue and I don’t know what to do :(… I already factory reset the device, and nothing happens. Noise Gate input 1 it’s full on yellow at -40 db.
Hello: yesterday, my Quad Cortex worked 100% - today, it powers on but there is no sound output from the headphone jack or any of the outputs. With a guitar plugged in, the tuner doesn’t respond so I’m also getting no input. All inputs and outputs are not working. I’ve rebooted several times, I’ve factory reset, firmware is up to date. Anyone seen this??
It’s a glitch in the Matrix! Seriously, I would reach out to support@neuraldsp.com so they can log the issue and possibly review your diagnostic logs etc.
I have often wondered if the power requirements of the QC would increase if / when they added more funtionality. I plan to check the power draw from the QC with the new features that they added (PCOM) to see if it did increase.
The QC was measured at roughly 1.9 amp draw in the early days. Many including myself have been using Cioks power supplies without issues, but for those on a 2 amp supply could evenually be underpowered to deliver the required power if this is true.
I would try using the original power suppy if you continue to have trouble.
That’s a good point… but this was very weird and I read in another post that happened already years ago to someone else.
I didn’t do anything different other than load some new IRs I got, play with them and turn off QC as normal (using power button) and hours later when I came back to test IRs the sound didn’t work… I actually noticed when there were no sound coming out the headphones jack nor sending it from my Mac selecting QC as sound system output.
Anyway, the QC seems to be working OK now but I got really scared about this issue haha…
