QC with M-VAVE Midi Foot Controller

Is there anyone well experienced on midi (especially the m-vave) with QC? I’m actually quite happy with it. Using the QC in stomp mode and controling 4 different scenes with the M-Vave. So I have 8 stomp switches and 4 scene switches in front of me on the stage, which is really cool. It was really hard for me to figure out how to set within the app, but once done it works like a charm.

My question is I couldn’t figure out how to use group switches like pressing A+B and C+D simultaneously. It must be like pressing A+B leads to E, and pressing C+D leads to F. Currently I can use 4 scenes, but if I can use groups I can use 6 scenes. 4 is not insufficient, but why not if the unit allows?

I’m using the M-vave in advanced mode, which only appears A, B, C and D. Not E and F. Besides on the screen of pedal it appears only lines (vertical or horizontal). It would be nice if I could have like 1A, 1B, or 1, 2, etc… I could only find a way to use the scenes with advanced mode, and it doesn’t have numbers or letters on the screen of M-Vave. I must be sure what I press and hear it well to stay in the correct scene :slightly_smiling_face: It would be nice to see it as well.

Below video shows an example how I exactly am using it like ;

Thanks in advanced for your help.

It seems you have the normal chocolate. There’s no way to get E and F commands. However, it’s possible to expand functionality of switches via the apps in custom mode, for each switch, you can configure it so that there’s short press and long press. I have the QC setup in hybrid mode and the short presses on the chocolate activates the bottom row of QC footswitch which are stomp mode, and the long presses are top row, scenes.

There is a newer version called the chocolate plus. They have an advanced mode 2 which let you go up and down banks with the E and F switches, but this mode gets rid of short/long switch mode. I recently got the new version so I’m still playing around with it, but the controller is fantastic.

Thank you so much, this reply solved my question totally.

I even didn’t know there was a “plus” version. I’m not interested in short/long presses, but being able to use E and F is totally worths to buy the new version. I will set 2 more scenes once I have it :slight_smile:

Thank you so much for clarifying this for me :+1:
