So I went to turn on my QC the other day and it booted up like normal, but then give me a “Something Went Wrong” error message with the CANCEL & REBOOT options only.
When I choose either one of those options, the QC will hang up for a second and then I get a yellow bordered error message that tells me the QC is force restarting.
And the cycle continues after restart. Has anyone every had either of these issues happen?
How old is everyone’s units that seem to have a lot of faults? mines 3 month old but getting a little worried after reading so many forum posts with faults or system problems.
Is it possible to factory reset from the cortex control on windows or macos if you have a backup?
Neural seem a really good company that look after there customers and send a replacement if it comes to the worst
I’m sure they would be a way to do it. if operating system is stored on the SD card may need to clone it over or unit might not boot as i say unsure about system storage maybe someone with better knowlage on here can comment.
Contacting support is the way to go through the process. If you open the unit and or damage something opening and messing with the SD card, you might void your warranty and it’s not worth the gamble in my opinion.
it is a simple task no need to damage anything this seating issue with the SD card so far has caused me to lose presets captures WiFi issues all sorted in 5 mins just reseating the card. i lost wifi after cor 3 update yellow warning box could be a hardware issue it was just the SD card not reading correctly
rather than multiple trips to the service centre.
Do we know how NDSP support team approaches to this? Even opening the unit solves the current issue what about future support and warranty?
I just imagining a simple broken cable head issue. Sending the unit and waiting days/weeks would not make sense. Instead of, opening the unit carefully and removing the broken jack head would be a simple solution. It didn’t happen to me, imagining just in case.
And also this sd cart issue. If it happens to me I would also prefer to solve it by myself within minutes instead of send/return policy. But don’t know what happens next.
And one last question ; is there any detailed video or sth showing how this sd card solution can be done without harming the unit?
P.S. I’m extremely happy with my QC and didn’t have any issues. Just asking these in case and my curiosity.
just look in the back its well put together cables are few and not in the way SD card at top no need to move anything or touch anything else just carfully remove it and re-insert.it is not always the issue but it does cause quiet a few load up errors.
Oh thanks, I got the idea.
I hope I never need it But seems like an easy task, I agree. If happens to me I may still ask to ndsp team before doing anything. But it’s good to have the knowledge.
Understood, ultimately anyone can do whatever they please to their own equipment but I personally would not want to gamble voiding your warranty and prefer following the support process as outlined by NDSP.
I’m seeing a few reports that “bricked” units may revive after being left unplugged for a while.
Also seeing that the Restore function may be accessible after multiple restart attempts
