QC encounters error and reboots when assigning "BYPASS" for expression pedal

Assigning the bypass parameter within the “assign expression pedal” menu, the QC freezes and reboots.

Steps to reproduce your issue:

  1. Calibrate expression pedal within IO menu on expression input 1.
  2. Add a “Wah” block
  3. Go to "three dots > Assign Expression Pedal
  4. Expression 1 > Assign the Wah
  5. Tap on “Bypass” to make an assignment. It goes to the Bypass menu, then freezes, gives "Error Screen and then reboots.

I expected this to happen:
When I assign a “bypass” I expect it to be able to be able to be used and function without rebooting.

I have tried the following things:

  • I have tried using expression 2 and different outputs on the pedal and same things happens.

Good writeup! I can confirm this is happening on mine as well. It is a firmware bug as it happens without USB or Cortex Control connected. I would contact Neural and report this.

Weird they would miss this bug. A showstopper for anyone who uses auto-engage with a Wah block. This should be part of their testing and QC in the future.

Thanks, I have told them about it. They said they know about it and are working on a hotfix for it. I would expect there will be a lot of bugs from this update in general so I can imagine a few patch updates will probably be seen over the next month or so.

Same issue for me. Emailed Neural about it. I REALLY hope this gets fixed soon - gigs coming up!!
