Powering with Temple audio Cioks Hi5

Thank you so much, that’s a great help, really appreciate it :+1:

I literally wanted to charge my phone, and to power the headphone Dock for my yh-wl500 wireless yamaha headphones.

Obviously I’m in the uk so I our power ratings are different, the Dock runs on 240v.

My DC-7 is powered by 240 volts.

That’s why I thought it would power the USB mod, by using 2 of the slots.

I don’t really want to buy another power supply just to run the USB mod

The input on the DC7 can range from 90-265V AC, but the outputs are standardized based on the DIP switch settings (12V 0.5A in this case). It doesn’t matter if you are in the UK, US, etc. the DC7 output (by design) will be the same.

One thing I did notice is that the DC7 actually has its own USB power output. That might meet your needs without having to purchase an £80 USB MOD from Temple Audio. You could instead get a panel-mounted USB connector like this one, along with a Temple Audio punch plate and a standard USB A-to-B cable.

Cool, cheers Carl.

I did notice that, about the usb on the dc-7, I suppose i could try it and see if it powers the headphone cradle.

Thanks for all your help!
