Hi,
Eventhough I have my QC for 1,5 year I used always my Kemper.
Now I finally sit to configure my QC I come across a weird issue where Output 1 give way more volume than Output 2. No matter if I play stereo or mono.
I already did a factory reset but even the factory presets have this issue.
It can be compensated by changing the Output1 volume louder in the output settings but it should not be like that.
Even a factory reset didn’t solve the issue.
Anyway has this issue too and does anyone know the solution to this?
I’m afraid since I waited to use the QC that long that I have no guarantee anymore.
Can anyone help please?
I can’t remember the CoreOS version, but also after an update to CoreOS 3.2.1 the issue is still there.
Please help as this is not convincing me to switch from Kemper to QC.
Thanks in advance.
Had a similar issue. If you are an original owner, read this:
My fix was through seller (sweetwater). Sweetwater (now an authorized repair site) swapped the “RP-QuadC-Zen Zenjack PCB for Quad Cortex.”
Cost was covered as it was under warranty. Hope that helps.
Mine is from 2023 (it’s older than I thought) and I bought it through Thomann, I’m afraid there is no warranty anymore.
By the way, is this a known issue? If so is the issue somewhere written out so I can refer customer support to this?
Cant speak to it being a known issue, but read the link above. Its a 3 year warranty. Bought mine in 22’ (literally weeks before the 3 year mark), it was covered. You pay shipping, took 2-3 weeks for turn around. Frustrating yes, but they made it right at minimal inconvenience. Even if i had to pay the repair rates, it seems reasonable (shown in pic).
If your QC is from 23 you should still have warranty on it… 3yrs warranty from Thomann
I followed up to your advice and I logged a ticket with Thomann.
Within a week I got my QC back. They did some kind of a reset and my QC is working fine!!
I did a factory reset myself that didn’t solve the issue so apparently Thomann’s technical staff has some more in depth knowledge to solve this.
I thought I’d share it here in case someone else needs to know this as well….
