I’ve recently installed the Nolly plugin and I’m using a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen into my laptop, however, I’m getting a bit of lag when I’m using the plugin.
I’ve tried downloading the Focusrite application but in the audio settings on the Neural DSP plugin, there’s no sound coming out when using the Audio device ASIO so I’ve just been using the Windows Audio which as I mentioned above is quite laggy.
Is there anyway to fix this???
Have you got the direct monitor set appropriately on your focus right. You should have a button on the front with 3 settings.
I’m not using any speakers, it’s just going out to my headphones from my laptop
You need to connect some speakers or headphones directly to your audio interface. Otherwise, you will bypass the low latency ASIO driver by going through the built-in audio.
The Focusrite Scarlett Solo has a headphone out at the front. You can use an adaptor to connect your headphones.
Once you have that sorted out, try replicating these settings:
-
Audio Device Type: ASIO
-
Audio Device: Focusrite USB ASIO
-
Audio Input Channels: Input 1 or 2 ( Disable all the inputs you’re not using )
-
Sample Rate: 44100 Hz
-
Buffer Size: 128 or 256 Samples
