I’ve downloaded CubeSuite, programmed it and it looks like programming was successful.
Disconnected and reconnected to my MAC and CubeSuite shows the messages I’ve recorded.
However, nothing seems to change on Nano. I tried U and H settings on Chocolate plus but it looks like I’m missing something.
I chose the Advanced mode, I programmed CC messages for fx sluts turn on an off and I also tried simple Program Change messages but no go.
OK I figured it out but I’m gonna write it here since nobody seems to write the important details.
This solution is MWave Cocolate Plus only!
Needed things:
1- USB-C power supply with USB-C Cable
2 - USB-A to USB-C cable ( comes with chocolate plus )
3 - CubeSuite iOS Software works on ARM Processor MACs
If you only want to use it for preset changes ( 8 groups of four 32 total ), it should work out of the box.
However, that would be using the pedal very limited.
For the pedal to work with Nano Cortex, you need to power the chocolate plus via power cable thru USB-C. Then, You need to connect a USB-A ( Chocolate Plus side ) to USB-C cable ( Nano side ) to connect ot Nano. Connections are important since that is only way it works with Nano.
1 - Power Supply/Power Brick →USB-C→M-Wave Chocolate Plus ( for powering choc+ )
2 - M-Wave Chocolate Plus→USB-A to USB-C Cable→Nano Cortex ( for MIDI to NC )
3 - Switch Choc+ switch to H ( Host ) Mode
These connections are a must.
Then for programming…
Open CubeSuite
If you want the best possible flexibility choose advanced mode.
There you have 8 groups of button programming for each footswitch.
I used group one for turning FX slot 3, 4 & 5 turning on and off and tap tempo for the 4th button.
Then you can use group 2 completely different. You can reach to Group 2→3→4 .. by pressing C & D footswitches together. To go to lower group numbers you can press footswitches A & B together.
You can also limit the number of groups you want to use. I use NC’s footswitches for the 1st four presets and Choc+ group 2 footswitches for the second 4.
So I can use 8 presets, 3 FX SLot On/Off and tap tempo which is a lot more than I will every use.
I thought I would document the info here so nobody else loose a few hours.
