More Bass Amps/Cabs (Not Captures), more mic choices, and more bass specific effects

I’m going to voice love for the OC-2 requests also! Also, some more envelope filters/low pass filters!

I have some sounds that I want to do, but can’t currently!

Would love to see some amps for dirt lovers like a Sunn 300t (or Fender Bassman 300 pro, it’s the same thing), or a Fender Super Bassman 300… And some pedals like a Rusty Box, a Damnation Audio MBD2, an Aguilar Agro, a Brimstone XD… We want some dirt ! :grinning:

And of course, a mix knob with LPF/HPF options would be great !

I voted on this one,
up on all that has already being said…
I feel the need for a fully tweakable COMPRESSOR with AUTOGAIN (a copy of fabfilter is my dream), actual ones have a limitation each one being copies.
darkglass had the superluminal, I think ndsp aready has all the code there, just make the parameter available

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the last few updates.
I just wanted to let you know that there is a growing swell of unrest from many bass players on Facebook forums that there are not many updates for us.
Personally I’m a simple guy & would love to see some additions such as a version of the MXR Bass Compressor or Boss Octave pedal. I’m sure my fellow bass players will have more exotic requirements BUT if at every update there is nothing added for us, then the only option will be to link to external pedal chains. This somewhat defeats the objective of a ‘one-stop-shop’ floor modeller & I’m sure that eBay will start to see an increase in units offered for sale if the need for external pedals, amps etc. is greater than those offered by the cortex.
Don’t forget us or disappoint us please.
Thank You
Garry

Vote here.

I use a mixture of blocks to re-create my Boss OC-5. Not much variety in the amp and cab settings to enhance or change my bass sounds. Would love a bit more!

Just wanted to bump this, especially for NDSP to see. I’m kind of disappointed that they don’t seem to care about bass players anymore.
Looking through the updates, I found only one(!) bass specific block update, which was in CorOS 1.2.0 and the Aguilar Captures in CorOS 2.0.0 of course. But other than that, nothing in well over 2 years.
It also shows in the staff pick series, which as of now includes roughly 200 presets, and only about 5 of them are for bass.

I’m not a bass player but I voted for this! Bass players need way more attention!!!

I guess even for guitar is necessary more amps! If you count amps modeled and not individual channel, like NDSP counts (sort of a lie over there), QC list is poor/insufficient comparing to others modelers… There’s no Dumble nor Orange and many other amps!

Agree, the updates for new amps effects etc are not there and very far away from there early primises…

The 2.3.0 update is not reassuring at all but i still hope at some point the updates will reach what they said.

Yes, the QC is way too light on bass stuff. Please give us some more bass amps and effects!

+1 Vote. The extensive captures list for the Aguilar amps with no details is not an ideal scenario. The magic of (for example) the Aguilar Tonehammer is the interaction of the the preamp/drive knobs with your particular bass so, impossible to duplicate from someone else’s random settings, while making adjustments to a capture isn’t the same.

Ideally need models of actual amps people are regularly using in the real world ‘now’, particularly clean high headroom amps or as others have mentioned, a Noble di etc.

Needs improvements on the pitch shifting, a simple compression option as on the original ‘planned’ model list (Super Symmetry?) and not finding a sweet spot on any of the delays as yet. This could be user error on my part , but have owned everything from Eventide racks to Strymons to TC Flashbacks. The Space Echo setting on the latter is pure magic btw.

Hoping for some miracles so I don’t need to buy an Eventide H90 and Aguilar DI box to replace the QC so soon.

My vote too for bass-centric updates. Multiband comp would be my first choice.

Voted. I would love to see more Ampeg, Fender, Hartke, Aguilar. I would also like to see a multiband compressor and more dynamics effects beyond the LA2A, 1176 and VCA options. If we could get a Chandler Zener Diode limiter, a Chandler TG2 preamp and a Curvebender style EQ that would be heaven!

I am not really a bass player but my wife enjoys accompanying me on bass when we jam and more options are never a bad thing. Neural is the best! Thanks for all you do.

I know it’s already been mentioned, but it’s wild that it hasn’t been added yet is an OC2 type octaver. I think adding a dry blend option to pedal captures would also make a HUGE difference since any distortion pedal I previously used with a blend now has to have a whole separate row running parallel to the capture to be able to mess with the blend ratio. I’m hoping this next update’s added blend features they’ve announced can solve that issue
