Hi there,
a PreAmp-Mode for all amp-models would give lots more flexibility in use to the QC.
Line6 has a great way to support that on their Helix and PodGo devices.
You could better use the QC in different situations than.
thx,
Mario D

Agree! Even Poweeramp would be nice, so you coul mix and match different preamp and poweramp models, or run a captured preamp through a power amp model.
I totally agree with you guys, in terms of realistic sound and feel, adding a separate tweakable power amp to the QC could be a huge improvement (to an already superb piece of kit). The Two Notes Torpedo CAB, for example, includes a Power-amp emulation section that you can turn on per preset (with adjustable power amp volume, presence, depth and tube types). I’ve used the Torpedo along with QC amp models and with external preamp pedals. With the power amp enabled, it soundsI glorious - I think this is one of the key features that give Two Notes the edge in cab simulation. Also, using the Two Notes preamp on its own, but with a QC cab, greatly improves the cab sound.
Doesn’t the QC already have captures of power amps? I captured a preamp signal from my '79 Twin Reverb and then go into a VHT power amp capture, then into a cab. The power amp capture certainly makes a big difference, it actually sounds like a tube amp and not just a preamp to cab, and I’m using this on a clean amp. It also boosts the volume of the preset.
Correct. And there’s also captures of preamps.
Thanks Mick8187 - I’ve found them now and agree - they make a big difference to the cab sim. Actually almost on a par with Two Notes, although their cabs and mikes are more tweakable. After 2 weeks with the QC I’m more and more impressed.
