MIDI Expression Lag

Hello,
I recently purchased the Lehle Dual Expression pedal and have been having issues when using the Midi Expression feature of the Gigrig G3s to control parameters in the QC.

There is a significant lag when using the pedal to control parameters like mix and volume level. When I use a different expression pedal like the CB EXP, I don’t see the lag.

You can see a video of the issue here:

I’ve tried all the modes on the Lehle pedal; all of them!
Exp1&2 are both connected to the G3s. Both are mapped to Exp1&2 on the QC. This has been my setup for years.
Please note that the toe switch functionality of the Lehle pedal works via MIDI and I can use the toe switch to turn effects on/off while connected to the G3. This works for commands sent to the QC and the Duophony.

For clarity, toe switch functionality is not the problem.
The problem is the expression sweep functionality.

I need to be able to control faders on my CXM 1978 and Pre-Amp MK2, as well as mix parameters on H90 and Duophony using expression commands from the G3s. For this reason, connecting the Expression pedal directly to the QC is not an option.

I’m have an ongoing three way mail thread with Lehle and Gigrig. I also sent an email to Neural DSP support.

I came across some articles online indicating other users have had MIDI expression issues with the QC in the past but could not find a solution.

At this point, I’m not sure if this is a Lehle issue, a Gigrig G3s issue or a QC issue.

Looking for all the help I can get.

Mate, Joki here.
You are in contact with us and we already found out a lot in your case.
At the moment it’s clear neither the LEHLE nor the QC is the problem.

So I encourage you to wait.

Thanks
Joki
