Looper Is Not Cleared When Changing Preset - That's Awesome

I have two patches, one for my bass, one for my guitar, and both patches have the Looper-X in them.

Today, for the first time, I recorded something in the looper from my bass patch then switched to my guitar patch and to my surprise, when I hit ‘play’, the loop I recorded on my bass was still there. I wish I had stumble on this sooner… I decided to share this behavior because it’s not detailed anywhere in the manual and it might be of interest to others.

I am an old school guy and I usually like to read manuals - to me it’s a faster route to using a device to it’s full potential but that’s not very trendy. Nowaday, companies don’t spend too much resources writing manuals maybe because people don’t read them so much… I noticed that at work (software industry). I wish Neural DSP had a bit more details in their manuals but I understand.
Anyway, have a good day.

Would have bet that it is in the manual, but it actually isn’t.
I vaguely remember that this info was out there when the Looper was introduced, probably in one of the demo videos or something like that.

not only that, if you keep the loop playing you can switch seamlessly to any preset with a looper in it. If the loopers are all set with the same routing it basically eliminates the preset-gap in switching. (or more accurately it’s masked by the loop).
