Is there a way to toggle a block on/off that isn’t assigned to a stomp switch? In other words, can I toggle something on/off via MIDI? IF there is a way to toggle a block on/off that isn’t assigned to a stomp switch, I’d love to know. It would be super helpful.
Not directly but there is a work-around. Say you have foot switch A assigned to toggle a flanger block off and on In Stomp mode but you want to do it from Preset mode as well. Program a foot switch on your MIDI controller to send three messages with each push. The first is the command to set QC to Stomp mode. The second command is to trigger foot switch A on your QC. The third is to set QC back to Preset mode. Depending on your MIDI controller, it should happen very quickly. I use two Hotone controllers and this function is faster than the time it takes for QC to change presets. Of course, you can change stomps from Scene mode by programming the third command to return the QC to Scene mode. Personally, I think it’s silly that such an advanced machine has such primitive MIDI capabilities but this is a way to deal with one limitation. Hope this helps.
Thanks for that. I might be able to use this. I’m in a unique situation because I’m a DJ and using a DJ Tech Tool MIDI Twister, which can do quite a lot. I’ll need to dig deeper into some of the customization, but I’m thinking I might be able to implement some scenes to do what I need.
