Impulse response/cab

I’m new to NC. Could someone tell me how to load IR or cabinets that I have downloaded from the cortex cloud? When trying to load them, they do so in the captures section, not in the IR section. Thank you.

It’s a bit confusing, but the Cab capture type isn’t what you use in the CAB/IR slot on the Nano Cortex. (The CAB/IR slot on the nano is for using the factory impulse response files or for using your own impulses.)

So although you can use Cab captures in the Nano you won’t be able to load an amp capture at the same time.

Really, this is a big disadvantage… the factory irs ok, but who needs an ir without an amp.
I have to try this today…in the manual it is explained, that they appear on cortex cloud and can be downloaded ti ir section on the nano… i think you are wrong

The cab captures and IR files are not the same thing.

So what are the cab capture types used for ?

I would guess for the most part people who own a Quad Cortex use them instead of using an impulse response-file.

Not sure really what the difference is compared to an IR WAV file, haven’t bothered to read the Quad Cortex manual.

I have lately realized that issue when I try to check other IRs available. Instead of adding new reverbs, Neural DSP should lean on that, significant issue.

another significant issue- so we need another physical amp/amp plug-in running before NC device it self.
It is pity that while Neural DSP is offering unlimited amp captures through cloud, they limit the IRs. I was happy with the device’s features before nanos 2.0, instead of adding more reverbs wahs etc. they should take care of that.

Submit a feature request, that would be the quickest means to get new features.

can you tell me where the support email address is located on their website? funny but even their email address is hidden somewhere else and you suggest me to submit a feature request:)

NDSP’s email is support@neuraldsp.com and can be found on their site as well:
