High quality of reverb and delay sound

They sound quite good in Cortex now👍

But if you compare them with separate pedals, the difference is noticeable.
For example: digital delay in QC, with low pass and hi pass turned off and mix at 50%, sounds noticeably different from the clean signal - a little quieter and a little darker. There is no such signal attenuation in a digital delay pedal (I compared it with my Meris Polymoon)

The same thing with reverb: when mixing at 100%, the clarity and density of the sound are lost - the reverb sounds “soapy” compared to good reverb pedals, for example, with the same Meris. And this does not depend on the settings of the reverb block.

However, we must give credit: in general, presets created for ambient sound great on QC!) Perhaps the request for improved quality is excessive perfectionism, but if it is possible - it would be really amazing😍

The delayed and direct signals are not equal volume at 50 on the mix control. You have to set it up in the 80s (I believe) to balance them. I’m not quite sure why NDSP chose to do it that way, perhaps, because people rarely want their effects louder than the direct signal. Setting the 50/50 point higher gives more refind control over the sub‐50/50 ratio. Try boosting the mix control until they sound equal and see if the delay signal doesn’t sound more like the original. The delays may sound different to you due to the lower volume and the Fletcher Munson curve. I generally prefer for delays to sound different to avoid cluttering up the direct tone but, that’s just me. As for the QCs reverbs, there’s not a lot of variety but I think that what’s there sounds excellent.

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer! Now I know about the Fletcher Munson curve, it will be useful to me) I will try.

Great, let us know what you think after re-tweaking.

Voted.

Those effects are good and very usable but not enough and you are right, they don’t pass the comparison (imo).
they are less good than those in the good old and not very powerfull Kemper so there are no reason that the more powerfull floor modeler can’t increase those effects in term of quality and quantity.
