have you ever done a completely restart of using the QC?
A Factory Reset deleting all your stuff.
I have about 900 captures on my QC, and I use exactly 1 for my Presets for live use.
I got the Rabea and Parallax Plugins and these are my to go things for home use.
As Cortex Control is very buggy (for me) I want a clean new QC without all these useless captures.
Pro / Cons / Regrets?
Why would want to do a factory reset? Is something stuck, screen issues, crashes? Other then re(up)loading all your data there’s nothing else to worry about.
Yes. I did a hard reset in earlier CorOS (1-2.0?) for the reason mentioned. No regrets. It is much easier to build ground-up, when you know exactly what you want. That said, newer updates have alleviated this (folders, multi task editing). Moving forward I’d reconsider your work flow to avoid the clutter and the need of going nuclear.
I am going to do that this weekend, take photos, and then put it up for sale
While I love the sound, I am not an audio engineer and cannot figure out all the routing
Just be sure to have backups and you have tested to download them. Also do a local backup. It should not be a problem. Had some panic attacks when the cloud backup didn’t show up. If not the will show. Just have patiences. Maybe a restart or two and they are there.
But anyhow. It’s the computer world anything can happen.
