Does Quad Cortex have an internal fuse?

My Quad Cortex stopped working today.
It booted up fine, I turned my back for a minute
and when I turned back it was off.
I tried to turn it on again and it was dead. I tried many times with nothing plugged in, but no luck.
It has all the symptoms of a blown fuse, does anybody know if it has one and if it does, what fuse does it take?
I would hate to send it back for just a blown fuse.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Based on this video there is no fuse.

Thanks for the video link. It was very interesting.

I’ve owned my QC for 3 years, been in this forum for 2 years, and have never heard of the QC having a fuse.

I was hoping it would have one, it would be easier to replace a fuse than to send it out.

Have you talked to Support@Neuraldsp.com yet? Best to see what options they offer.

You just gotta send it out/contact actual Neural support

I was just contacted by customer support and they confirmed that it’s still under warranty and I could deal with Sweetwater since I am in the USA.

Neural also has a repair location in California etc., but SW could probably be much quicker to replace

I’m hoping it’s something simple.
I don’t know if they would replace it,
even though it’s under warranty, I have been
using it quite regularly on gigs for a while.

Sweetwater replaced mine and just in time for a gig and I let them know my gig was important and they shipped it and I got it in two days.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed!!!

This is a good time to remind everyone to back up your QC on a somewhat regular basis. If something should happen which requires a unit swap, at least you’ll have your presets and tones available to you as soon as you get it.

I always keep all my modelers backed up, it’s too easy to lose everything!!!

Sweetwater will only really replace it within a month or two of purchasing the unit. I tried to get a replacement recently and they weren’t into it

One point before sending it: have you checked the power supply with a multimeter? To be sure that the problem is not there.

I plugged the power supply into. TC Helicon Harmonizer, which is also 12v, it booted up fine.

I had mine almost a year and they replaced it with a brand new one even though I originally purchased a demo model. They have a two year warranty with almost anything they sell.

I had almost the same exact situation here. Bought demo from sweetwater over a year ago. They were very against doing a replacement recently and told me I would have to send mine in for servicing.

They sold me a defective QC that died within a month or so of light studio usage. It was replaced then, but the person I talked to at sweetwater said that after the first month or two they don’t usually send a replacement.

Same thing also happened with a TC Electronic Ditto X4 looper that I had. They insisted on TC repairing it during the Sweetwater warranty, and it took TC 6 months to fix it. TC actually messed up the pedal and it was barely functional. By the time the 6 month repair came back both the TC and Sweetwater warranties were over and they didn’t want to do anything.

I have been using it for a little over 2 years, so it is beyond Sweetwater’s warranty, but Neural 's warranty
If 3 years, they sent me an email confirming that it is under warranty. Sweetwater said their tech will inspect it to let me know if it is under warranty and will get back to me.
I don’t care if they fix it or replace it, as long as it’s in good working condition when I get it back 0
