I just sent my Quad Cortex back to Sweetwater for a repair.
I sent it out a week ago and they tell me they are waiting for authorization to send it somewhere else . After they receive it, whenever that is, it will take another 4 to 8 weeks, if they can get the parts.
So it looks like it will take about 3 months or more.
So I guess if you buy a Quad Cortex, you should buy a Kemper or Fractal with it so you have something to use for the months that your Quad Cortex is in the shop.
you should always have something else for safety reasons, doesn’t matter which one your main device is. kempers and axes fail all the time. fractal just deletes every negative press
Most people I’ve seen talk about it here have had a turnaround of about 2 weeks. That’s dealing direct with NDSP though. You’ve thrown sweetwater into the mix, and it definitely varies depending on how far you live from a service centre.
When I had to send a TC Electronic Ditto X4 to sweetwater years ago, it took about 6 months to get the pedal back because it took so long for them to coordinate stuff with TC. Honestly could have just dealt with TC instead.
I had to send a QC back for repair to Neural earlier this month. They’ve have it for about 2 weeks so far, but haven’t heard anything. Hoping it’ll be sorted soon, but thankfully I’m borrowing a friends QC atm.
Usually the average is around 2 weeks or so when dealing directly with specifically NDSP. Sweetwater will go through their process and then end up sending to the closest repair facility. In the US, the closest NDSP facility is in California etc., otherwise you would likely need to ship to Finland.
