I played with the update for two hours and I’m really happy with it. I think the intuitive UI has taken a big step forward and hybrid mode is better than I thought. I paired scenes with stomp and the use of the looper is now soooooooo smooth.

Many thanks to the Neural DSP team. This is an amazing update and piece of work.
I am playing since 50 years guitar and had all of the amps, gear you can imagine. The Quad Cortex allows to have access to all of this in an incredible convenient format coming with really convincing sound quality at whatever volume you need it.
Congratulation to the team and looking forward to use this incredible device for all my blues, jazz, funk and rock projects.
BTW I am using this with a PRS MT15 head as a power amp which has a lot of headroom. Sounds just mind blowing.

I keep getting “Quad Cortex needs an internet connection to finalize the installation” even though I’m connected to my wifi.

I would recommend to unlink from your AP, reboot and then try to re-connect. If you are trying to update, you don’t need to be linked to your cloud account etc. Otherwise, please post individual issues in your own thread as individual support issues will likely be missed within this thread.

Just after update, my QC made some very loud sounds when changing scenes. I rebooted and everything was right again.
New CPU Monitor screen is very nice. It wasn’t easy to close it before the update; now it is as easy as it should.

I still think the Neural captures could use some more categorization. Like…I know what brand “Aggi” is, but is it a pedal? A preamp? Amp + cab? That would be helpful.

You can filter based on type of capture currently otherwise I would recommend to add a feature request. Otherwise, that only addresses Neural captures, not the public captures uploaded/shared etc.

I think it’s still a good feature request though, just not sure how they would implement for all other captures unless they included a small logo next to the captures somehow.
I got that message too. I think it is because there is some lag as my WIFI connects, by which time the process that should be running the final stage of the update has already timed out or exited for lack of a connection. This should be fixed in the next update, if required, so that the WiFi connection has enough time to be established.
I got around it by going to the shutdown screen (power button) and pressing the ‘Reboot’ selection rather than doing a hard shutdown and then restart. That seemed to keep enough of the WiFi processes engaged immediately after reboot to allow the update to complete.
One hiccup but overall, the update process was incredibly smooth and well executed. Just need to address the update finalization so it doesn’t timeout and exit before the WiFi connects.

Is the fix for the Jewel compressor going to be part of a larger update (longer wait) or is it coming as a minor update ?

TBD. I’d imagine a hot-fix update might make its way out soon but not ETA as of yet.

Well, I have a brick. I tried all the suggestions here and nothing has worked for me. I have contacted support. Touchscreen is NOT working. I have a non-functioning $2200 Cortex!
