I am surprised that an option for the standard control of a looper pedal (in style of Ditto looper) is not implemented. Just simply control it from stomp/scene mode by assigning it to a switch and then tap to record, tap to play, tap to overdub and doubletap/hold to stop. No looper screen required.
I control the looper entirely from my MIDI Maestro pedal. I have a page on the Maestro dedicated to the looper. I have a button on the main page to activate/deactivate the tuner and another for gig view. A third button switches to the looper page. I have another page for patch changes on my synth. Works really well.
Maybe it suits you because you use the midi controller for other devices as well, but for me it’s not an option. I don’t want to go down the rabbit hole and create another huge pedalboard just to get all the features I need - the purpose of QC was to get everything in one box (QC + expression pedal are the only things I wnat in my pedalboard) ![]()
