Control looper without looper screen (tap to record/overdub, doubletap to stop)

I am surprised that an option for the standard control of a looper pedal (in style of Ditto looper) is not implemented. Just simply control it from stomp/scene mode by assigning it to a switch and then tap to record, tap to play, tap to overdub and doubletap/hold to stop. No looper screen required.
