So, I pulled the trigger today and got the QC. Changed all settings to my liking and attempted the Capture.
SURPRISE!
Input 2 is loose for 1/4”. Damn.
XLR is tight. Great.
I would appreciate help with following QUESTIONS:
Is it OK to use XLR to capture Kemper profiles? and how do I set it up on QC (microphone instead of instrument) at Calibrating stage? and do I have to put all the dials on Kemper presets to be at noon?
Mite be worth checking the manual out…you should be fine using an xlr but when going through the setup I’m sure it gives you the option to choose instrument or xlr… https://neuraldsp.commanual/quad-cortex
It is possible has I’ve done this in the past. I did have trouble with the front input on the kemper being to hot (could just be mine) so I used the alternative or return input on the kemper. You don’t have to change dials to noon, do what sounds good to you and just do a few captures with it. Once you’ve got to the level settings on the capture page on the qc you can change input type. Hope this helps
