Assign to All scenes button

can we have one please ?

Curious what you mean by this exactly

hi, well to assign each button on an amp or pedal to a scene is a pain , then you have to dial in each button , it would be much easier if they all had the function assigned to them then you’d just have to dial them in and save them where you like them for each scene rather than holding a cursor over them and holding down keys etc., thanks for the reply

Weird request… This is the first time I’m seeing someone try to activate all parameters within a block for scenes.

It is interesting. At first I thought, what?!

But actually, as I’ve discovered working with the Synth, sometimes you’re going to want to adjust all parameters across Scenes and with the Synth in particular that’s a LOT of parameters to enable. To be able to open a default where all parameters are already enabled for Scene Mode could be really useful

A partial workaround (that doesn’t help much for subsequent editing): Before you enable a knob or parameter to be controlled by scenes, set it to the value that you will want for most of your scenes. Then, enable scenes for that knob and edit by exception.

It sounds obvious, but I forget to do this often and it is usually easier to disable scenes and start over. It is a habit I need to develop.

I haven’t tried it yet (probably will soon) but you could enable Scene assignments for all parameters of a device and then set those parameters as default. Not sure if those states will persist, but worth a try

EDIT: Well, unfortunately that doesn’t work. Not sure why. It saves one parameter as set to Scene Assignments by default, but no more. Weird.

I still think this should be a feature, and wouldn’t be that crazy to code as an option in a menu or a right click menu… but the only solution I’ve found so far is making like 8 templates where I went through and made like 10 versions of signal chains, went through every parameter of every block and set them to scene mode (which took a frustrating amount of hours to do), now every week when I program our Sunday Worship sets, I start with one of my templates, label it the name of the song, then tweak the template and create scenes for each section of the song.

It’s long, arduous, and annoying, but that is the closest fix I have found to front loading the work!

I’m onboard, I voted. For the Synth alone, I’d use it!

Now get out there and campaign for it
