Tired of long holding every parameter on every block for scene mode

Hey there,

I use my QC for praise and worship and exclusively dial in scenes for each song… Every time I make a preset for a song, I have to take 15 minutes to click on every block and make the power and every dial on each block scene dependent!

Is there a good way to set a default where everything is always scene specific unless I change it (my flow is probably 95% scene specific, and 5% global), or a “select all” + “Set all Parameters to scene mode"?

Hi, there isn’t a shortcut for scene-enabling a large set of parameters all at once. The only thing I can think of is to create a template preset with the blocks you use the most often, then copy and paste when you want to make a new preset.

…Not trying to be snotty, but: Why make [nearly] every parameter in [nearly] every block scene-dependent? That’s so much work.

I agree… it is WAY too much work! That’s what I’m hoping Neural DSP will solve for me…

To answer your question, my current pedalboard has a PBC 10 and “the stryfecta” (Mobius, BigSky, & Timeline), and whenever I make a preset on a song, it might be one set of strymon banks for intro and verse, a totally different set of strymon banks on the chorus 1, then vibey instrumental, low bridge 1, big bridge 2 through the end of the song… you get my point…

Because there is not enough CPU power to replicate all of these presets with each individual block, and they haven’t released the ability to make presets for individual blocks (which would also be a really cool idea that I just thought of where I could make 3-4 parameter presets for just like the new bloom reverb then just assign like Bloom Preset A to scenes 3, 5, and 8, then Bloom Preset B to scenes 1 and 4 without having to dial it in every time like I can with the BigSky, that would be INCREDIBLE… but I digress)… because of all of that, I have to click my verse scene and dial in all of my drives and verbs and delays, then I have to click my chorus scenes and dial in all of my verbs and delays separately, then I have to… and so on and so forth!

I’m really trying desperately to replace my giant pedalboard & PBC 10 Setup with this, but it just doesn’t quite seem powerful enough yet!

Am I making sense with that?

UPDATE:
I still think this should be a quality of life feature, and wouldn’t be that crazy to code as an option in a menu or a right click menu… but the only solution I’ve found so far is making like 8 templates where I went through and made like 10 versions of signal chains, went through every parameter of every block and set them to scene mode (which took a frustrating amount of hours to do), now every week when I program our Sunday Worship sets, I start with one of my templates, label it the name of the song, then tweak the template and create scenes for each section of the song.

It’s long, arduous, and annoying, but that is the closest fix I have found to front loading the work!
