It’s been years petrucci plugin hasn’t been launched on quad cortex. How long do we have to wait.
This is all we know:
Petrucci X is coming in the next CorOS update. We just don’t know when that will happen.
Judging from the pattern we have seen so far this year, they have been releasing every 3 months. IF they hold to that then we should see the update very soon. Myself, I am not looking to get any other plugins but I am interested to see what pops up on the non-plugin side of things.
CorOS 3.1.0: released November 2024
CorOS 3.2.0: released August 2025
…That was a wait of 8 months.
The upcoming CorOS 4.2.0 update will be the single largest PCOM release, with five plug-ins all at once. The wait time for this release could be even longer than that previous gap. I hope I’m wrong.
soon, hopefully maybe this year
Communication from Neural DSP is a nightmare … Last sign of life regarding the next update for QC is from 21th of April. The last small update came in March, the last bigger one (4.0.0) on 21th of January. What really baffles me, though, is that the next update for Cory Wrong X and Petrucci X was announced for August 2024 (Quad Cortex Development Update #51 & Plugin Development Update<!-- --> - Neural DSP) – 2 years ago! That’s not a way you should treat your loyal customers …
Reading that article it looks like petrucci and Cory Wong were scheduled for “X” updates, helping to make them ready for porting to QC, but not that they were coming in following updates as Parallax and Nolly were mentioned for CorOS 3.1.
But I agree with you - and I appreciate many will say this is beating a dead horse - but the “soon” messaging doesn’t cut it for a decent few users. 2 years is way too long to say the PCOM is coming soon. Hopefully should be coming towards some kind of announcement sometime in coming months, but in the meantime we wait and enjoy the features we have I suppose! ![]()
You are correct. That update was to bring those plugins to X versions not for full QC compatibility.
