Still waiting for Archetype Petrucci and other plugins on Quad Cortex

Well, here is my complaint every half year about the slow progression of the Quad Cortex firmware. I bought a few plugins, seeing as they are X plugins, and hoping and expecting that the plugins are implemented in the near future. But it’s as always: Neural DSP develops new products instead of implementing things that are promised.

We talk about plugins that I spent money on, so the firmware updates are not for free …

And why can’t Neural DSP communicate better? I would like to get a time frame when new plugins (and the old ones) will find their way to the Quad Cortex.

I’ve been thinking the same thing for months. Months ago, it was said that Petrucci X would soon be available on the Quad Cortex, but we still haven’t heard anything and time keeps passing.

Me too I am waiting for the specifcally the Petrucci Plugins. Taking a long time indeed.

At this point I just stopped buying plugins unless they already compatible, no point of buying “soon” hype.

One month later: no communication about updates from Neural DSP and no update. *Seufz* (german sigh)

But your first post said you would only complain every half year

That’s very thoughtful of you … Let’s say: I start a new thread every six months. To continue the conversation in between is allowed … :joy:

Oh, some sort of moon cycle then, I’ve heard about that.

Cheerz

This is quite a legitimate complaint. Been waiting for Rabbea forever.

Feels real good to be exempt from such tho.:hugs:

I own Rabea, Henson, and Plini. I bought them for use in my DAW, not whether they were PCOM. All three are amazing, and IMO Neutral makes the best plugins in the industry by far. I use Plini in my QC and it’s great there too. Can’t wait for PCOM on the other two but I do more DAW recording with plugins than QC so I’m not dying waiting for PCOM. But it will be really cool to have all three available in the QC one of these days. I’m probably going to pick up Parallax for bass and something else next time there is a 50% sale at Neutral.

Fun fact: NDSP released 2 new devices while we are waiting PCOM for Petrucci plugin

Welcome

Common boring knowledge fact here: PCOM and Plugins are made in two separate dev departments within Neural, not overlapping, due to two very different functioning tech ecosystems.

Wish it sheds some light.:slightly_smiling_face:

Edit: Sorry @nobless1368 misread your post, thought you meant Plugins (which of cause makes no sense since there have been issued several plugins meanwhile) when you meant QC Mini and Nano right? Cheerz.

That’s pretty observant! :joy:

BTW Yeah it’s super awesome:sign_of_the_horns:t3: Amazing work Neural.

Bro get a life…

You don’t “get” a life. You “are” life. It’s called being, with more or less depth. You know “To be or not to be”.

Peace.

… Then who’s who ay’?

:exploding_head:Now wait… whA-WTF? Then who the FUD are the two guys in the foreground:red_question_mark::red_question_mark::red_question_mark:

As you leave it up to people themselves to interpret, they’ll see what they can see; a broader perspective or one just meet the ego? Intentions and spirit and the level of depth reflects according to the (more or less) cognitive consciousness or unconscious reaction/abreaction. Non of us are exempt from that. Another example is Neurals sparse news-updates, the silence leaves you to your own divises, shows your spirit. It’s very healthy.

The QC don’t care, it’s a machine, it is [awesome] as it is… developed.

(Although sometimes it seems to do weird things on its own:joy:).

Ask yourself: Could you have done what Neural does better?

Anyway: Expectations are a mofo, prone for disappointments. Build on promises or not, they’re still just imagined, wishes at best, reasonable or not. Never present, always somewhere in an illusory “future” fantasyland. Live instead.

Sometimes they get the best of us. Let 'em go. Accept and love what is. You can’t yet?; you’ve got some very good pointers to work with, and that’s not bad either. Don’t let any of this (especially not my yapping) separate you from others and/or yourself. Much appreciated.

Be a life.

Well good news today:

“CorOS 4.1.0 will be the largest PCOM (Plugin Compatibility) update we have released. It will bring compatibility for Archetype: Petrucci X, Archetype: Tim Henson X, Archetype: Rabea X, Archetype: Misha Mansoor X, and Archetype: John Mayer X, as well as additional free virtual devices and quality of life improvements. We will share more about this update as we get closer to the launch date.”

( Full Disclosure on PCOM/X Updates<!-- --> - Neural DSP )

Bad news: No time frame is mentioned for the 4.1.0 update. Sounds not like coming within the next days or weeks … :face_with_bags_under_eyes:
