A3 Stompbox Volume Pedal as an expression pedal?

I am eagerly awaiting my QC to come in the mail. I really like the look of the A3 stomp box pedals. Has anyone used these?

My problem is this - I’ve found a number of their volume pedals posted for sale, but only very limited expression pedals posted for sale.

Is it possible to use a standard volume pedal as an expression pedal with the QC? I’m referring specifically to the way the pedal would be wired. Is there anything about that I should know?

You can use a volume pedal as an expression pedal by connecting it to the expression input using a TRS (stereo) to two TS (mono) cables, with the mono plugs going into the volume pedal’s input and output.
