Use a Gain block and insert where you want in the signal chain. Then assign the expression pedal to the gain value within that block. I’m not at my QC at the moment to confirm, but you may need to tweak the block and expression parameters in order to set the maximum value you want.
You will need to do this per preset.
EDIT: This information is only correct for an expression pedal being plugged into an expression jack; not what OP asked about. Leaving this post up.
Thanks for using the MONO VOLUME S.
The way you are using it, is the only possible, because this pedal is made for audio signals.
So, placing it in a loop is perfect – as it controls the audio path at a certain spot, you decided by placing the block inside the QC.
Using it as expression pedal is not possible, like @DiffractionCircuit mentioned.
It’s a volume pedal and not an expression pedal.
For this case better use the LEHLE DUAL EXPRESSION and then one can control any of the assigned parameters of the QQ.
Can you provide more info on what you did? Currently using a Dunlop DVP4 Volume X Mini, and the swells aren’t very smooth. Not using as expression pedal, just putting before my QC in the signal chain. Any insight would be amazing.
The volume pedal before the amp model will not be quite as smooth. Generally the amp or compressor will pull the sound up more, and the swing of the volume won’t be as linear. I would recommend using that pedal as an expression for a volume block that’s placed after the amp model, and before the reverb/delay.
Perfect. That did the trick. Weird thing I noticed was the max volume on the settings goes to 100%, but when I roll the volume pedal back, it goes to 0% (expected) and then when I push it down it goes to 91.3% (not expected).
Am I missing something? Also, new to QC so appreciate all of the help here.
