Yes - a bit of praise!

Last Saturday was my first proper gig with the QC. It was just guitar + QC connected directly to FOH, no cab on stage, just the return signal to stage monitor wedge.

For the first time ever, I can say I can perform an entire gig without my Vox AC30. It was almost flawless - I do have some fine tuning to make because of the higher gig volumes - mainly in the high frequencies, which I think needs a very tiny tame.

The biggest praise is that this was a gig without any technical crew. They just leave us the PA + mixer + monitors and we had to do the mix. Even without that I got an amazing sound thru my monitor and comments was that the guitar sounded great on PA.

This is truly the first unit I setup’d at home and got very close to that when playing live, almost the same experience (as I said probably need to tame the high frequencies a little bit). It reacted like my amp, mainly rolling back the guitar volume.

The delays and harmonies sounded great, sit very well in the mix. The overall experience was just awesome.

For the record it was a Queen tribute show, which is my main band.

I’m right there with ya! I’ve had some great amps over the years and even dragged around an 80lb rack and two 50lb EV cabs during the 80s. I’ve been using modeling since the late 90s but I can tell you that I’m getting THE best electric and acoustic tones I’ve ever gotten (live and recording) with my QC pedalboard and two Headrush FRFR108 cabs. My back likes it too.
