Being able to use AR to control amp models as if they are psychically available in the room. That would be awesome. Maybe I’m a dreamer, but wouldn’t it be great? If there’s one company who can do this, it would be NDSP!
If full MIDI control is implemented (or Neural exposes the protocol they’re going to use for the desktop controller) this could be built by a 3rd party
Combined with something like the Boss Waza Air where you listen through headphones and hear the amp from its position in the “virtual room”, even when turning your head!
I don’t think it would be super useful but a really fun toy nonetheless to distract us from practicing
I played with that at the NAMM Show 2020. It was so weird to have the speaker stay in one virtual place in the headphones. It was completely bizarre to me.
Never tried it myselft, just think it would combine nicely with what @jorisd proposed.
Maybe it wouldn’t feel so strange when also having a visual representation of the amp via AR staying in the place the sound comes from
