Using an electric and an acoustic in the same set - input levels

Hey. Just after a bit of affirmation!!!
So I already use the QC with an electric guitar, but have just added a short acoustic set to my song list. I therefore now need to swap from electric to acoustic mid set.
My acoustic set up gives a nice sound at low levels. Using a nice Taylor IR in a Cab block.
NoiseGate - EQ(hi and low pass set) - compressor (50%)- BiggsDI Capture - Cabinet (with IR) - Reverb

My first attempts using input 1 for all guitars, gave a really quiet acoustic guitar sound (relative to the electric), which if boosted within the patch caused some feedback issues.
Should I assign the acoustic guitar to a different input (input 2) and increase the input level on that channel…?
What do you guys do to achieve this?
Or is acoustic feedback and/or differential noise levels between electric and acoustic unavoidable?
Grateful for any guidance or tips.
Quad Cortex team - got any tips on this??
(I have researched a few YouTube clips on settings for an acoustic, but none of these seem to address the use of both electric and acoustic and switching between the two)
Many thanks.

I believe most who use both acoustic and electrics would utilize separate inputs so that you can control the I/O for both instruments.

Definitely assign a separate input for each instrument since you wouldn’t be using it otherwise during your set. You can have the presets configured so that the input you aren’t using is muted. This is absolutely the easiest way to get the input levels to work for your situation

Thanks. I will try this.
